Texas school districts must provide students who do not pass each STAAR test with at least 30 hours of supplemental accelerated instruction. This poses a variety of challenges, including scheduling, personnel, tools, content, and pedagogy.
In this free webinar, we will discuss strategies for overcoming these challenges and delivering a supplemental accelerated instruction program that will get your students on-track for success.
Topics to be addressed, include:
- How to fit accelerated instruction into regular and after-school hours
- How to prepare your accelerated instruction tutors
- How to ensure that accelerated instruction is aligned to
assessment so that it recreates the correct content (knowledge and
skills), within the correct context (of use and format), and processes
(that replicate the steps in thinking required for success)
- The importance of using digital tools to prepare students for online assessments
- How to align your accelerated instruction with the TEKS and underlying thinking skills that are tested in STAAR.
