Sirius Privacy Policy

Welcome to SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice, an online learning product offered by SIRIUS Education Solutions.

(1) To use the SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice online learning product, your school or school district is required to consent to the collection, use and disclosure of information from children (students) in your school/district as described below. SIRIUS Education Solutions and its affiliates or vendors will not collect, use, or disclose any personal information from children (students) at your school if you do not provide consent. Without your consent, your students will not be able to use the SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice online learning product.

(2) In order to provide teachers and students with the content and services available in the SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice online learning product, SIRIUS may collect personal information on children (students) that includes their name, password, product page views, information on the devices or third-party systems being used, and students’ activity and progress on assignments and assessments. This information is collected only for the purpose of allowing the use of the product by your school/school district, to provide insight into student learning, to provide information on product usage and performance results, and to provide customer and technical support services to schools/districts. This information may also be used in conjunction with other information provided by your school district including from third-party systems such as a Student Information System (SIS) or Learning Management System (LMS).

(3) Teachers and anyone with administrative rights to the SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice online learning product at your school/district will have access to the information listed above.

(4) Affiliates and vendors that assist SIRIUS Education Solutions with making the SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice online learning product available that may have access to the information listed above are contractually obligated to adhere to the SIRIUS Privacy Policy. The complete SIRIUS Privacy Policy can be found in the attachment below.

(5) If your school/district accepts the SIRIUS Education Solutions quote or order form to which this notice is attached or returns an order that includes the SIRIUS ONLINE STAAR Preparation and Practice online learning product, or otherwise agrees to use the product on a promotional or trial basis these actions will constitute your consent to the collection, use and disclosure of information as described in this notice and the SIRIUS Education Solutions Privacy Policy.
