SES 101 Introduction to Sirius Online
Course Description
Participants will learn essential skills for using Sirius Online. Based on delivery format, the instructor will engage participants through demonstration of essential tasks as the teacher. The instructor will assign lessons and practice/assessments, and participants will quickly complete one or more short assignments. The instructor will demonstrate how teachers access and review student work, and then release scores for reports. Finally, the instructor will quickly demo how to access basic Course and Standards performance and usage reports.
Prerequisites:
- Available for all districts and schools who have purchased Sirius Online programs.
- (Optional): Use of our new eLearning Module: SES 101-E. Introduction to Sirius Online, v1.This module can be used for self or group study, or your training team can quickly utilize the video resources when they conduct in person in-service training sessions. This module will be updated in late August to include screen captures of the New Sirius/STAAR Tools Design.
Learning Objectives - Upon completion of this course module, participants will be able to:
- Find support documentation and resources, and how to contact Sirius Tech Support
- Assign content from Sirius programs to students, including the Sirius Tools Tutorial
- Access and review student work in the Scorecard with a focus on leaving item and assignment-level feedback
- Support students while they are using the Sirius Online application
- Create basic reports based on assigned and scored activity work
SES 102 Introduction to Reporting for Education Leaders
Description
This course overviews the general administrator user experience. Using district or sample data, participants identify how tools in their main interface can be used to:
- Support teacher and student user management
- Access Sirius Online programs for curriculum planning and academic support
- Explore settings in class management including accommodations and class co-teachers and tutors
- Navigate and explore Course and Standards Performance and Usage reports
Prerequisites:
- Onboarding method has been determined/set up with District IT/Tech Support
- Recommended: Student work and data in Sirius Online
Learning Objectives - Upon completion of this course module, participants will be able to:
- Navigate the administrator interface based on need, including inquiries about identity and course management, curriculum review and planning, reporting, and Sirius Online and customer support
- Examine Teacher/Classes' Course and Standards Performance and Usage reports, including how individual students are doing in each of their Sirius classes (Note: does not include Progress or Engagement Reporting - See 201
